Leo Robert Cantrill Sr. (7-1-15)

Feb. 10, 1941– July 1, 2015
Leo Robert Cantrill Sr., 74, residing in Wakeman, Ohio, and formerly of Savannah, passed away Wednesday afternoon, July 1, at his home.
Leo was born on Feb. 10, 1941, in Greenup, Kentucky, to the late Robert and Jane Smith Cantrill. Leo grew up in the Church of God.
He retired as plant manager from LTV (Republic) Steel in 1996 after 38 years service.  Leo was a member of American Legion and VFW and a charter member of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles in Wakeman.  In his spare time, he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and watching his grandkids’ activities.  He was also a sports enthusiast and enjoyed sharing this passion with his family.
Leo is survived by his wife, Helen Morgan Cantrill, whom he married on Aug. 6, 1960.  He is also survived by his children, Cheryl (Randy) Shelton, Leo (Helen) Cantrill Jr.,  Milton (Daniele) Cantrill, Martin (Michelle) Cantrill and Karen (Mike) Dunson; grandchildren, Brandon Cantrill, Sara Shelton, Anna Shelton, Bailey Collins, Hannah Cantrill, Caden Cantrill and Chase Dunson; and sisters, Marge Davis and Martha Wight.
In addition to his parents, Leo was preceded in death by his brothers, Joe Ben, Cortis, Elijah Wick and Lockwood Cantrill.
A private family service will be held.  Groff Funeral Homes and Crematory Milan Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.
