Hollis “Johnny” Davison (6-30-15) service 7-4-15

Hollis “Johnny” Davison,  85, of Denver, Colorado, died on Tuesday, June 30.
He was born in Hardin County, son of the late James William “Jim” Davison and Rose America Clausel Davison of the Swift Community. He was first married to Wanda Ferguson. He later married Rose Stonein, and lived in the area of Fort Collins and Denver, Colorado.
Mr. Davison attended school in Hardin County and later in Osceola, Arkansas where the family moved to in the 1940s. He worked with his father and three older brothers in farm work until he entered the U.S. Army 1948-1955, serving in the European area including Germany. Upon his discharge, he worked in the dry cleaning profession and later became the owner of his own business. He was of Baptist faith.
He is survived by his wife, Rose Davison; children, Doug Davison, Diane Schoonmaker, Carolyn Stone, Steve Stone, Mike Stone; 22 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; one great-great grandson; brothers, Dewey Davison and Kenneth Davison; and sister, Debbie Robertson.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Bernis Davison and Luther Davison; half-brothers, Clemon Hendon, Elvis Hendon Reed and James Arthur Davison; and half-sisters, Lera Jane Bevis, Flossie Owen and Lorene O’Neal.
Funeral Service were held on Saturday, July 4, at Daniels Family Funeral Services–Wyoming Chapel, Albuquerque, New Mexico. Burial will take place on Thursday, July 9, at 1 p.m., in Denver, Colorado, at Fort Logan National Cemetery.
