Franklin Hunter (6-19-15) service 6-21-15

Franklin D. Hunter, 81, of Selmer, died Friday, June 19, in Jackson, Tennessee.
He was born in Henderson, Tennessee, the son of the late Alvin and Vergie Allison Hunter. He was united in marriage to Annie Bonee, who survives.
Mr. Hunter served during the Vietnam War and the Korean Conflict, and retired from the United States Air Force as Master Sargeant after 20 years. He then worked for ITT as a molding set-up operator and later owned his own business, Frank’s Refrigeration, for more than 15 years. He was a member of Falcon Baptist Church in Selmer.
In addition to his wife, Annie Hunter of Selmer, he is survived by two sons, Michael Wayne Hunter and Jeffery Alan Hunter, both of Selmer; three grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; two sisters, Betty Stewart and Judy Outlaw, both of Selmer; and five brothers, X.L. Hunter of Selmer, James Hunter of Kansas, Clay Hunter of Shiloh, Willie Hunter of Middleton, Tennessee, and Johnny Hunter of Memphis.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Imogene Myers; and a brother, Jerry Hunter.
Services were held on Sunday, June 21, at Shackelford Funeral Directors in Selmer with Jay Houston officiating. Burial followed in Lake Hill Memorial Gardens at Bethel Springs, with full military honors.
