Jean Woody, 76, of Counce, died on Saturday, June 6, at her residence in Counce.
She was born in Indianapolis, Indiana, daughter to the late Macy Willis and Mary Margaret Amos Davis. She was united in marriage to Jack L. Woody, who preceded her in death.
Mrs. Woody was retired as a dispatcher from Aqua Glass. She was also previously employed part-time at ETC Trucking in Stantonville, Tennessee. She was a member of the Eastern Star, Savannah Chapter.
She is survived by her children, Margaret A. Rowlawds of Winamac, Indiana and Suzie L. Cabler of Counce; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, Jean was preceded in death by her siblings, Louise Marr, Willis Davis, Charles Davis, Jimmy Davis and Macy Alan Davis.
Memorial donations may be made to the children’s charity of your choice.  
Services were held on Wednesday, June 10, at Shackelford Chapel in Savannah with Rev. Herb Adams officiating. Burial followed in Scotts Hill Methodist Church Cemetery at Scotts Hill, Tennessee.
