Ella Godwin (5-23-15) service 5-24-15

Ella Mae Hood Godwin, 93, of Savannah, died on Saturday, May 23.
She was born in Franklin, Tennessee, the daughter of the late Sam William and Louiza Minerva (Nervie) Jones Hood.
Mrs. Godwin was a homemaker and a member of New Harmony Baptist Church. She  had worked at Cerro Gordo School.
She is survived by her daughters, Evelyn Scott of Lexington, Tennessee and Margaret McFalls and Edith Childers, both of Savannah; a grandson and two great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Harbet Godwin; brothers, George, John, Joe and Jack Hood; twin sisters, Annie Lee and Maggie Belle Hood, and sisters, Lula Ferrell and Hazel Winstead.
A graveside service was held on Sunday, May 24, at New Harmony Baptist Church Cemetery in Savannah with Jason Estes and Lawrence L. Smith officiating.
