Freeman “Cotton” Johnson (3-24-15) service 3-26-15

Freeman Junior Johnson, 84, of Henderson, Tennessee, died Tuesday, March 24, at Jackson Madison County General Hospital.
He was born in Counce, the son of the late Lee and Gracie Johnson.
Mr. Johnson worked as a deck hand for Federal Barge Lines for many years retiring in mid-70s. He worked at Murray Guard and later for Chester County Landfill Convenience Center. He was a member of American Federation of Labor and Congress of Industrial Organizations (AFL-CIO).  
He is survived by two daughters, Virginia Mosier and Barbara Johnson, both of Henderson; and three sons, Robert Johnson of Horse Cave, Kentucky, Sterling Johnson and Rick Johnson, both of Henderson; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; and one brother, Bob Johnson of Iuka, Mississippi.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Helen Johnson;  a son, Michael Johnson; and a sister, Mary Ann Rickman.
Funeral services were held Thursday, March 26, at Shackelford Funeral Directors – Johnson Chapel with Larry Burns officiating. Burial followed in Big Springs Cemetery.
