Betty Jean Wilkerson (3-14-15) service 3-17-15

Betty Jean Wilkerson, 56, of  Savannah, died Saturday, March 14, in Savannah.
She was born in Hardin County, daughter to the late Edward and Margie Grimes Wilkerson.
Mrs. Wilkerson was employed as a machine operator at Trimatic Spring Company. In the past, she was also employed at Parris Manufacturing, Truform, Loredo in Wayne County, and Cross Country Apparel. Betty was a member of Covey Chapel Church.
She is survived by her children, Terry Jenkins and Alice Jenkins, both of Savannah; three sisters, Sandra DeShazier and Virginia Stricklin, both of Savannah, and Wendy Wheeler of Michie; two brothers, Bobby Wilkerson and Jimmy Wilkerson, both of Savannah; seven grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and a host of nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by one brother, James Carroll Wilkerson.  
Services were held on Tuesday, March 17, at Shackelford Chapel in Savannah with Geneva Middleton officiating. Burial followed in Jenkins Cemetery at Savannah.
