Jimmy Phillips (2-23-15) service 2-27-15

Jimmy Phillips, 84, of  Milledgeville, died Monday, Feb. 23, at Milledgeville.
He was born in Morris Chapel, the son of the late John P. and Vonnie Hopper Phillips. He was united in marriage to Bobbie Ruth Hughes, who survives.
Mr. Phillips was the owner and operator of Phillips Brick & Tile. He was a member of Milledgeville United Methodist Church.
In addition to his wife, Bobbie of Milledgeville, he is survived by his children, Anthony Phillips of Milledgeville, Shelia A. Phillips of Glen Allen, Virginia and Tammy Phillips Brown of Jackson, Tennessee; four grandchildren, five great- grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren; and three sisters, Jean Bridges of Milledgeville, June Brown of Sardis and Mary Nell Jones of Knoxville.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by two brothers, John Ray Phillips and Ovid Phillips; and two sisters, Patsy Ruth and Bunnah Finney.
Services were held on Friday, Feb. 27, at Milledgeville United Methodist Church in Milledgeville with Phil Bridges officiating. Burial followed in Milledgeville Cemetery.
