Bobby Prince (2-18-15) service 2-21-15

Robert E. “Bobby” Prince of Waynesboro departed this life on Wednesday, Feb. 18, at Wayne Medical Center in Waynesboro, at the age of 84 years, 3 months, 15 days.
He was born Nov. 3, 1930, in Waynesboro, the son of the late Wilburn and Florence Byrd Prince.
He attended school at Wayne County Elementary School. As a child he attended church at the Highland United Methodist Church with his parents and siblings. He was married to Lois Marie Franks Prince on Jan. 18, 1953, and she preceded him in death in 1977. Mr. Prince was employed for 30 years as a school bus mechanic with the Wayne County Board of Education and his hobby was riding his lawnmower throughout the community visiting family and friends.
He is survived by two daughters, Peggy Reeves and husband Clyde of Waynesboro, Patsy Beckham of Savannah; four grandchildren, Keith Reeves and wife Katherine of Waynesboro, Jimmy Beckham of Savannah, Robert Beckham and fianceé Leeann Shelton of Savannah and Brandi Beckham of Spokane, Washington; nine great-grandchildren; brother, Eddie Prince of Waynesboro; two sisters, Patricia Wright of Oak Harbor, Ohio and Nona Hardy of Toledo, Ohio.
In addition to his wife and parents, Mr. Prince was preceded in death by two brothers Wayford and Lonnie Prince; two sisters, Grace Hunt and Willow Mattox; and several nieces and nephews.
Services were Saturday, Feb. 21, at 1 p.m., at Shackelford Funeral Directors Chapel in Waynesboro with Eddie Prince officiating. Burial followed in Highland United Methodist Church Cemetery with Shackelford Funeral Directors in charge of arrangements.
