Jerry VanWoerden (1-30-15) service 2-3-15

Jerry Lee VanWoerden, 73, of Counce, died Friday, Jan. 30.
He was born in Crown Point, Indiana, the son of the late Casey Cornelius and Eleanor VanWoerden. He was united in marriage to Frances Shaw, who preceded him in death.
Mr. VanWoerden retired from General Electric Supply Company in Memphis. He served his country in the United States Navy.  He was a member of the American Legion Post 485 and the Moose Lodge in Counce.
He is survived by his children, Jerry Lee VanWoerden II and Laura Jo VanWoerden; two grandchildren, one great-grandchild; and three brothers, Charles Allen VanWoerden, James Edward VanWoerden and Peter Cort VanWoerden.
In addition to his parents and his wife, he was preceded in death by one brother, John C. VanWoerden.
Serves were held Tuesday, Feb. 3, at Pickwick United Methodist Church with Tommy Worley officiating. Burial followed in Memory Gardens.

    Just wanted to reach out to this family especially LJ.! We shouldn’t go through these times alone! Hope all is well! RIP! Know it was tough times in school and the neighborhood! Jerry V.
