Virgil Stuart (1-21-15) service 1-24-15

Virgil A. Stuart, 93, of Counce, died Wednesday, Jan. 21.
He was born in Johnsonville, Arkansas, the son of the late Selvin Samuel and Winnie Bea Wolfe Stuart. He was united in marriage to Mildred Ware, who preceded him death.
In 1959, Virgil moved to Counce, to work for Packaging Corporation of America (PCA), the year it opened and worked there until he retired. Previously, he had worked for Crossett Paper Company in Crossett, Arkansas and moved to Macon, Georgia to found the Georgia Craft Paper Company. He was a member of Wheeler Grove Baptist Church in Corinth, Mississippi and New Chapel Freewill Baptist Church in Counce.
He is survived by his children, Gerald “Jeb” Stuart of Bremerton, Washington, Patricia Stimpson of Counce, Maribeth Long of Counce and Vicki Frederick of Bartlett, Tennessee; seven grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren,  and two great-great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents and his wife, he was preceded in death by a sister, Nannie Bea Stuart; brothers, Samuel (Mac) Stuart and Lester Stuart; and two grandchildren.

Services were held on Saturday, Jan. 24, at Shackelford Funeral Directors in Savannah with Paul Childers officiating. Burial followed in White Sulphur Cemetery at Pickwick Dam.
