Fred Hatcher (1-18-15) service 1-23-15

Frederic Lee Hatcher, 68, of  Morris Chapel, died Sunday, Jan. 18, in Jackson, Tennessee.
He was born in California.
Mr. Hatcher served his country in the United States Marines during the Vietnam War and received the Silver Star medal, Bronze Star medal and a Purple Heart medal. He later went to work for Boeing Aircraft and retired after 30 years. He played a role as a senator for military reenactments, which he was a member of the 30th Mississippi Reenactment Group, Freeman’s Battery and McClungs Battery. He was a military history enthusiast, particularly Civil War and World War II and he actively participated in many reenactments.
He was of Episcopal faith and he taught Sunday school.
Services were held on Friday, Jan. 23, at Shackelford Chapel in Savannah with Jetta Forsythe officiating.
