Jimmy Gray (1-11-15) service 2-7-15

James Edward “Jimmy” Gray, 85, of Savannah, died on Sunday, Jan. 11, in Savannah.
He was born in Savannah, the son of the late Thomas A. and Lettie Davis Gray. He was united in marriage to Violet Davis, who preceded him in death.
Mr. Gray served in the United States Army. He worked in sales for National Tape Corporation in Nashville. Mr. Gray also worked at Parris Manufacturing and he also did commercial photography. Mr. Gray was a member of the Rotary Club. He wrote for audio books and did magazine articles and worked in the music industry for many years.
He is survived by his children, James Richard Gray of Savannah and Janet Ruth Gray of Jonesboro, Arkansas; six grandchildren; seven great- grandchildren; and one brother, Harold Gray of Savannah.
In addition to his parents and his wife, he was preceded in death by one grandchild; and two brothers, William Thomas Gray and Granville Gray.
Memorial services will be held on Saturday, Feb. 7, at 1 p.m., at Shackelford Chapel in Savannah. Burial will follow at Memory Gardens of Hardin County.
