J.W. “Fifth-Wheel” Seat, 71, of Savannah, died Tuesday, Dec. 23, at Savannah Healthcare Nursing Home in Savannah.
He was son to the late Thomas Franklin and Louise Horn Seat.
Mr. Seat was employed as a mail hauling truck driver at H.B. Phillips for 28 years.
He is survived by his children, William Lloyd Seat, Sheila Williams and Annette Bearden, all of Savannah; his sister, Mary Elizabeth Freeman of Troy, Tennessee; his partner, Wilma Seat; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Robert Seat, William “Pete” Seat, Joe Seat, James “Ed” Seat and Lillian Cooper; and one grandchild.
Services were held on Friday, Dec. 26, at Shackelford Chapel in Savannah with Don Harold Lawrence officiating. Burial followed in the Hollands Creek Cemetery at Savannah.
