Kellen Phillips (12-2-14) service 12-6-14

Kellen Riley Phillips departed this life on Tuesday, Dec. 2, at the age of 19 years, 10 months, and 14 days. He was born on Jan. 18, 1995, the son of Kevin M. Phillips and Kristan Gibbs Hutton, who survive.
Kellen was a lifelong Hardin Countian, graduating from Hardin County High School where he was always a part of school activities and enjoyed making people laugh. As a student at the University of Tennessee at Martin, he became a Pike–a member of the Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity–and a participant in the Wildlife Society. Even though he was only 19, his work history was impressive. He had been employed with Tennessee Valley Electric Cooperative and Main Street Pharmacy as well as working as a sales associate for Final Flight.
Duck and bow hunting, fishing and sports were favorite ways for Kellen to spend his spare time. He also enjoyed attending services at Sharon Baptist Church where he was a member. Whenever possible, he was surrounded by his friends; his personality drew people to him and he was loved by all.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his brother, Austin Kade Phillips of Savannah, his special friend, Kate Kucherenko of Adamsville, his cousins, Weston Phillips of Savannah and Grace Phillips of Bethel Springs; and his grandparents, Gary and Jane Gibbs of Savannah, and Doris DeBerry of Bethel Springs.
He was preceded in death by his stepfather, Jeffrey Wikins Hutton; and grandfather, Joe Robert Phillips.
Services were held on Saturday, Dec. 6, at 3 p.m., at Sharon Baptist Church in Savannah with Will McReynolds, John Guyer and Will Rich officiating. Burial followed in Memory Gardens at Savannah.
