Marie Flatt (11-7-14) service 11-10-14

Marie Gibbs Flatt departed this life at the Hardin Medical Center in Savannah, on Friday, Nov. 7, at the age of 90 years, 5 months, 28 days.
She was born on May 10, 1924, daughter to the late Claude and Elsie Ratliff Gibbs. She was united in marriage to Marvin Lee Flatt on April 12, 1947, who preceded her in death on Feb. 25, 1995.
Mrs. Gibbs worked as a seamstress for Harwood Manufacturing and River Heights Manufacturing. She loved to be outside and work in her vegetable and flower gardens. She loved to cook and sew and take care of her family. She was also a member of the Bethlehem Methodist Church. Her family will always remember her for her beautiful smile.
Marie is survived by her daughter, Jean Arnold of Adamsville; and two grandchildren, Chad and Corey Arnold of Nashville.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Melissa Grisham.  
Services were held on Monday, Nov. 10, 2014 at 11 a.m., at Shackelford Chapel in Savannah, with Howard Russom and Glenn Scott officiating. Burial followed in the Bethlehem Cemetery at Crump.
