William P. Winborn (11-2-14) service 11-15-14

William “Cousin Rick” Winborn was born Oct. 29, 1958, in Hardin County, son of the late William G. and Louise Patterson Winborn.
Mr. Winborn departed this life on Sunday, Nov. 2, at his home in Nashville, at the age of 56 years, 4 days.
Mr. Winborn was formerly employed by the State of Tennessee, Jones Motor Company, Roach Saw Mill and worked on construction of the Tombigbee Waterway. In later years, he was self-employed as a computer and electronics technician and consultant.
A graduate of Hardin County High School, he attended seven different colleges. A life-long Democrat, he worked actively on numerous local and state political campaigns as a graphics and printing specialist.
He was an outdoorsman, enjoying hunting, fishing, boating and camping. He had an avid interest in science, literature, history and classic movies. He was known to his many aquaintances as a kind and sentimental friend.
He is survived by numerous cousins, nieces and nephews and a very special friend, Rachel Falls of Nashville.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, Jamie and Flora Garonski Winborn, and Byron and Zelma Alexander Patterson.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, Nov. 15, at 3 p.m., at the old First Cumberland Presbyterian Church.
