Jerry Melson Sr. (10-24-14) service 10-28-14

Jerry Lee Melson Sr., 67, of Morris Chapel, died Friday, Oct. 24.
He was born in Hardin County, the son of the late Revious and Louise Melson. He was united in marriage to Mary Ann Bonee, who survives.
Mr. Melson was a truck driver for Shaw Trucking and a member of Church of the Nazarene in Savannah.
In addition to his wife, Mary Ann Melson of Morris Chapel, he is survived by his children, Paula Blair of Savannah, Jerry Lee Melson Jr. of Savannah, Cindy Parrish of Iuka, Mississippi, Jeremy Melson of Counce, Richard Earl Foust of Morris Chapel, Lisa Ann Benson of Savannah, Kenny Allen Foust of Counce; sisters, Alice Melson Wiley of Slaughter, Louisiana, Cheryl Ratliff of Morris Chapel; brothers, Eddie Brean Melson and Donnie V. Melson, both of Walker, Louisiana; 10 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
Services were held on Tuesday, Oct. 28, at Church of the Nazarene in Savannah with Wayne Bittle officiating. Burial followed in Mt. Hermon Cemetery at Savannah.
