Patrick Herndon (10-10-14) service 10-13-14

Patrick Herndon was born Jan. 31, 1968 in Nashville, the son of Helga Reuter Herndon and the late James Frederick Herndon.
He was united in marriage to Denisha Finley on May 23, 1997.
Patrick was the owner of Advanced Chemical Sales, a farmer and a member of Enville United Methodist Church in Enville.
Patrick was a man who loved his family and community. He was the former mayor of Enville, an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing and water sports, and loved traveling with his family. He was a Boy Scout leader and very proud of his son, Parker, and all his accomplishments through the Boy Scouts.
Patrick departed this life on Friday, Oct. 10, in Selmer, at the age of 46 years, 8 months, 10 days.
He is survived by his wife, Nish Herndon of Enville; a son, Parker Herndon of Enville; mother, Helga Herndon of Jackson, Tennessee; a brother, Michael Herndon and friend Susan Taylor of Brownsville, Tennessee; grandmother, Regina Herndon of Perryville, Tennessee; aunt, Elsie Trojak of Germany; parents-in-law, Harold and Frankie Finley of Enville; aunt, Annie Massengill of Enville; and a host of extended family and friends.
In addition to his father, Mr. Herndon was preceded in death by paternal grandfather, Willis Herndon; and maternal grandparents, The Reuters.
Services were held on Monday, Oct. 13, at 1 p.m., at Shackelford Funeral Directors of Adamsville with Bill Evans officiating. Burial followed in O’Neal Cemetery at Enville.
