Junior Franks (9-25-14)

Junior Franks departed this life on Thursday, Sept. 25, at the age of 67 years, 1 month, 23 days.
He was born in Wayne County on Aug. 2, 1947, the son of the late Haley Richard Franks Sr. and Myrtle Lee Price Franks. On July 12, 1989, he was united in marrriage to Patricia Key Nix, who survives.
Junior was a truck driver for Automotive Fabrics for 15 years. He enjoyed riding 4-wheelers and wheeling-n-dealing scrap iron.
He is survived by his wife, Kay Franks of Savannah; children, Gary Franks and wife Cindy of Tuscumbia, Alabama, Jeff Franks and wife Susanne of Florence, Alabama, Craig Wireman of Sharon, Tennessee, Sonya French and husband Lanty of Clifton, Jennifer Martin and boyfriend John of Sharon, Tennessee, Kevin Wireman and girlfriend Candy of Savannah, Emerald Jade Wireman and boyfriend Kenneth of Olive Hill; sisters, Ellen Frazier and husband Anthony of Savannah, Dorothy Vickery of Savannah, Mackie Johnson and husband Jerry of Lutts, Linda Fisher and boyfriend Jerry of Booneville, Mississippi; brother, David Franks and wife Juanita of Southbend, Indiana; 18 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Marie Franks Copeland and Rosie Franks Strickland; brothers, Ellis Franks, James William Franks and Donald Ray Franks.
A private graveside service was held.
