Glenda Stanfield (9-27-14) service 10-1-14

Glenda L. Stanfield, 74, of Savannah, died Saturday, Sept. 27.
She was born in Hardin County, the daughter of the late Iley and Louvenia Love White. She was united in marriage to Wallace G. “Hoover” Stanfield, who preceded her in death.
Mrs. Stanfield was a member of the Olivet Community and the New Harmony Baptist Church. She had worked for Brown Shoe Company and Angelica.
She is survived by a son, Rickey Stanfield of Savannah; sisters, Jeanette Daniels, Doris Tate, June Armstrong, Norma Wesson and Hazel Hern; brothers, Terry White and David White; and six grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son, James W. Stanfield; a sister, Mary Ann Woody; brothers, Morris White, Sonny White, Iley White Jr. and Billy Gene White.
Memorial Donations: Darryl Worley Cancer Treatment Center, 935 Wayne Road, Savannah, Tennessee 38372.
Services were held on Wednesday, Oct. 1, at Shackelford Chapel in Savannah with Johnny Burns officiating. Burial followed in the New Harmony Baptist Church Cemetery at Savannah.
