Linda Rickman (9-3-14) service 9-7-14

Linda Sue Howard Rickman was born on Feb. 3, 1943, to the late Robert Roosevelt and Mary Irene Sullivan Howard. She was a lifelong resident of Hardin County, living her early years in the Nixon and Pyburn communities.
She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Savannah.
She attended schools in Hardin County and later graduated from Austin Peay State University in 1967. She taught school for several years and then started working for the Department of Human Services in Savannah. She retired in 2003 after 30 years of service.
She was united in marriage to Bobby Neal Rickman on Dec.14, 1985. He preceded her in death on Jan. 6, 2002.
She died at Hardin Medical Center on Wednesday, Sept. 3, at the age of 71 years and 7 months.
She is survived by a sister, Wanda Ward and her husband Dennis of Selmer. She also leaves a niece, Megan Hamlington and husband Jeremy of Upton, Ky., and a great-nephew, Levi Hamlington. She is also survived by two aunts, Mary Gale Harmon of Savannah and Nell Howard of Michie, as well as a host of first cousins who were very dear to her, and many other relatives and friends.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her grandparents, Will and Lena Howard, Jennie Harville and John Levi Sullivan.
 Services were held at Pyburn Union Church on Sunday, Sept. 7, at 3 p.m., with Charles Linam and  Father Francis Chiawa officiating.
