Julian McAdams (9-2-14) service 9-6-14

Robert Julian McAdams, 87, of Savannah, died Tuesday, Sept. 2.
He was born in Chester County, Tenn., the son of Guy Talmadge and Myrtice Rhodes McAdams. He married Mozelle Cash, who preceded him in death.
Mr. McAdams served in the U.S. Army. He was later employed with the Board of Education, first as a teacher at Saltillo and then as a teacher and principal at Eureka. Leaving Eureka, he served as an assistant principal at the Hardin County High School then as principal at Pickwick Southside. His last tenure as a principal took place at North Elementary after which he became the assistant superintendent for Hardin County schools. After 35 years in education and administration, Julian retired.
He was a member of the First Cumberland Presbyterian Church.
He is survived by his two sons, Bob McAdams and Jerry McAdams; his sister, Cornelia Cash of Milan, Tenn.; and three grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
In addition to his wife and parents, Julian was preceded in death by his two brothers, Berlin and Hayes McAdams.
Services were held on Saturday, Sept. 6, at Shackelford Chapel in Savannah with David Baker and Duwayne Pounds officiating. Burial followed in the Unity Cemetery at Henderson, Tenn.
