Blanch Wilkerson (8-31-14) service 9-3-14

Blanch Wilkerson, 88, of Savannah, died Sunday, Aug. 31, in Savannah.
She was born in Hardin County, the daughter of the late James Carl and Flora Bell Hill McLin. She was united in marriage to James Harold Wilkerson Sr., who preceded her in death.
Mrs. Wilkerson was a homemaker and a member of Faith Assembly of God Church. She did baby-sitting for many children in Burnt Church Community.
She is survived by one son, James H. Wilkerson Jr.; and one daughter, Betty Wilkerson Emfinger; five grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren; one brother, Hubert (Jack) McLin; and one sister, Carolyn Sue McLin Bryant.
In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by four brothers, J.C. (Jake) McLin, L.C. ( Pete) McLin, R.D. (Dick) McLin and James Edward McLin; five sisters, Ollie Mae Moore, Nannie Ruth Grimes, Virna Mae Sherrill, Birdie McLin and Mary Emma Brown; and one grandson.
Services were held on Wednesday, Sept. 3, at Shackelford Chapel in Savannah with Ronnie Sanders officiating. Burial followed in Wilkerson Cemetery at Hardin County.
