Bernice Evon Frazier Hanson, 87, of Savannah, died Tuesday, Aug. 26, in Savannah.
She was born in Hardin County, the daughter of the late Jay Vester and Sally Edna Perry Frazier. She was united in marriage to Neil Roland Hanson, who survives.
Mrs. Hanson was a homemaker and she was a member of Church of God.
In addition to her husband, Neill, she is survived by one stepdaughter, Nancy Greer of Goshen, Ky.; and one stepson, Wayne Hanson of Jasper, Texas; five stepgrandchildren, nine stepgreat-grandchildren; two sisters, Essie Fay Belcher of South Bend, Ind., and Barbara Dell Futrell of Granger, Ind.; five brothers, J.W. Frazier of Indianapolis, Ind., Ralph McCoy Frazier of Savannah, Vernon Ray Frazier of Lutts, Jerry Lewis Frazier of Lutts and Donnie Mansion Frazier of Savannah.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Beatrice Nix and Emma Lou Myrkle; four brothers, Eldridge (Curly) Frazier, Lester Dee Frazier and twin boys whom died at birth.
Services were held on Friday, Aug. 29, at Shackelford Chapel in Savannah with Pastor Lambert Greer officiating. Burial followed in the Lutts Cemetery at Lutts, Tenn.
