Barbara Meter (8-20-14)

Barbara H. Meter, 63, of Philadelphia, Tenn., died Wednesday, Aug. 20, at her son’s home in Counce.
She was born in Waynesboro, the daughter of the late James Hugo and Stella Ruth McMahan Hartup.
Ms. Meter worked at Tennessee Hickory Products in Loudon, Tenn., for 21 years. She was a member of the Church of Christ.
She is survived by her two sons, Beau Robert Meter of Counce and Brodie Heath Meter of Lenior City, Tenn.; two grandchildren; two brothers, Michael H. Hartup of Clifton and James O. Hartup of Hixson, Tenn.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Leta Magdalen Hartup.
Memorial service to be held at a later date in Lenoir City, Tenn.
