Albert Garcia, 91, of Michie, died Monday, Aug. 18, at Sanctuary Hospice House in Tupelo, Miss.
Mr. Garcia retired from MW Kellogg Construction Co., with 15 years of service. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Counce. He was a retired U.S. Marine veteran of World War II, who landed on Okinawa on April 1, 1945, and was stationed on Midway Island during the Battle of Midway. 
He is survived by two sons, Kenneth Albert Garcia of Selmer and Richard Garcia of Corinth, Miss.; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; and a brother, Earnest Garcia of San Antonio, Texas.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Janie Garcia; parents, Robert and Herlinda Lazo Garcia; and brothers, Rudy Garcia, Ruben Garcia and Robert Garcia Jr.
Services were held at Magnolia Funeral Home Chapel of Memories on Thursday, Aug. 21, with Charlie Browning officiating. Burial was in  Corinth National Cemetery with military honors.
