Carnell “Rabbit” Smith, 88, of Savannah, died on Monday, Aug. 11.
He was born in Wayne County, the son of the late Ed and Eddie White Smith.
Mr. Smith was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He had worked in the logging business, Savannah Button Factory, for the City of Savannah, Grady Qualls Oil Co., Clement Concrete Co., and River City Concrete.
He is survived by a daughter, Rhonda Butler of Savannah; sons, Michael Smith and Randy Smith, both of Adamsville; six grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and a brother, Louis Smith of Toledo, Ohio.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by seven brothers; and two sisters.   
Services were held on Saturday, Aug. 16, at Shackelford Chapel in Savannah with Greg Eaton, Malcolm Scott and Randy Stricklin officiating. Burial followed in Lutts Cemetery at Lutts, Tenn.
