Vanessia Cottrell Crites (7-27-14) service 8-2-14

Vanessia Ebbelene Cottrell, 49, of Crump, died Sunday, July 27.
She was born in Clarkson, Ky., to Marchmond Jerry Cottrell and the late Lillie Beth Cook Cottrell. She was united in marriage to James Paul Crites, who survives.
Vanessia worked as a waitress all of her life, beginning at River Heights Restaurant in Crump, followed by 10 years at The Golden Dragon in Savannah.
In addition to her husband James, of Crump, she is survived by four sons, Kenneth Ray Martin II of Fort Campbell, Ky., Arick Matthew Martin of Vicksburg, Miss., Johnathan James Crites and Christopher Lee Martin, both of Crump; her father, Marchmond Cottrell of Big Clifty, Ky., five grandchildren; four sisters, Shelia Marie Cottrell Dennison, Hilda Annette Cottrell, Christine Beth Cottrell and Wendy Jean Cottrell; and four brothers, Marchmond Jerry Cottrell II, Billy Ray Cottrell, Gregory Lee Cottrell and Lionel Wayne Cottrell.
Services were held on Saturday, Aug. 2, at Watkins-Oller Funeral Home in Leitchfield, Ky. Burial followed in the Cook Cemetery at Shrewsbury, Ky.
