WH Simmons (7-13-14) service 7-18-14

WH Simmons, 72, of Savannah, died on Sunday, July 13, in Memphis.
He was born in Savannah,  the son of the late Hughie Lee and Frances Elizabeth Sizemore Simmons. He was united in marriage to Carolyn Ann Rainey, who survives.
He was a self-employed logger for Simmons’ Logging, and had also owned and operated Simmons’ Motor Company.
WH was a member of the American Belgian Draft Horse Association and was of Baptist belief.
He is survived by his wife Carolyn Ann (Rainey) Simmons of Savannah; three daughters, Kim Williams of Savannah,  Kristi Williams of Savannah,  Stacy DeBerry of Savannah; a sister, Dorothy Kyle of Savannah; a brother, Jamie Simmons of Clifton; and eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Services were held at Shackelford Funeral Directors in Savannah on Friday, July 18, with Jarrod Cagle and Larry Bowling officiating.
