Buddy French, 70, of Savannah, died Wednesday, July 16, in Savannah.
He was born in Gibson County, Tenn., the son of the late Robert Wiley and Mattie Hays Love French.
Mr. French was a self-employed commercial fisherman, and a member of the Savannah Moose Lodge.
He is survived by two sons, Robert Allen French Jr. of Savannah and Jerry Wayne French of Savannah; a brother, John French of Trenton, Tenn.; and two grandchildren and a great-granddaughter.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Betty Rose Yergin.
A graveside service was held on Thursday, July 17, at Neill Cemetery in Savannah with Mike Kelley and John French officiating.
