Billy Joe Ward, 55, of Savannah, died Wednesday, July 16, in Savannah.
He was born in Atlanta, Ga., the son of Jo Ann Davis Douthit and the late Roosevelt Ward.
Mr. Ward was a self-employed automotive mechanic. He was a member of New Creation Ministries in Savannah.
In addition to his mother he is survived by three sons, BJ Ward, Bobo Huff and Roy Lynn Huff, all of Savannah; five sisters, Joannie South of Corinth, Miss., Sandra McCielland, Rosie Lee Arnold and Phyllis Murphy, all of Savannah, Kim Ward of Lawton, Tenn.; and a brother, George Douthit of San Jose, Calif.
In addition to his father, Mr. Ward was preceded in death by one daughter, Gannetta Ann Ward.
