Elmer Gant, 87, of Olive Hill died Tuesday, May 27. He was born in Hardin County the son of the late Lon and Faye Brashier Gant. He was united in marriage to Dorothy Inez Mitchell, who survives.
He was a farmer by trade and a member of Spoken Word Church in Savannah.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his stepsons, Ronnie Lynn Mitchell and Donnie Ray Mitchell both of Savannah; three step-grandchildren; three step great-grandchildren; a sister, Dorothy Stricklin and a brother, Lon Gant Jr. both of Savannah.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Tom Gant; two sisters, Betty Arnold and Frances Gravett.
Services were held Friday, May 30, in Savannah with J. P. Gillis officiating. Burial followed at Piney Grove Cemetery in Savannah.
