Artie Sharp (5-31-14) service 6-3-14

Artie Mae Sharp, 90, of Florence, Ala., died Saturday, May 31. She was born in Waterloo, Ala., the daughter of the late Willie and Pearl Vinson Landrum. She was united in marriage to Roy C. Sharp, who preceded her in death.

Mrs. Sharp was a member of Apostolic Lighthouse Church in Waterloo, Ala.

She is survived by her children, Louise McCoy of Dayton, Loudine Shilling of Savannah, Paulette Duboise of Lutts, Tammy Barrett of Florence, Ala., Jack Sharp of Waterloo, Ala. and Shannon Sharp of Florence, Ala.; a sister, Helen White of Mishawaka, Ind.; 29 grandchildren; 70 great-grandchildren and 29 great-great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by daughters, Dorothy Vinson and Roxanne Barrett; three great-grandchildren; sisters, Polly Moyer, Shelby Dawson and Willie Tucker; brothers, Clarence, Ellis and Leo Landrum.

Services were held Tuesday, June 3, in Waterloo, Ala. with Paul Holloway Jr. officiating. Burial followed at Mount Olive Cemetery in Lauderdale County, Ala.
