Joanne Bivens (5-12-14) service 5-17-14

Joanne Davis Bivens, 60, of Selmer, died Monday, May 12, in Jackson. She was born in Finger, the daughter of the late Ed and Maggie Cummings Davis. She was united in marriage to Thomas Bivens.

She worked as a highway escort in transporting mobile homes.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by two daughters, Terri Jo Marlow of Selmer, Lista Len Austin of Bethel Springs; son, Johnny Boleyn of Cleveland; three sisters, Edna Elliott of Selmer, Ruby Thacker of Shiloh, and Peggy Moss of Stantonville; brother, Jackie Davis of Crump; 14 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Ray Davis and Ernest Davis.

Services were held Saturday, May 17, at Shackelford Funeral Directors in Selmer with Jetta Forsythe officiating. Burial followed at Lebanon Cemetery in Saltillo.
