Lou Dean Garrard, 86, of Savannah, died Thursday, May 8. She was born in Saltillo, the daughter of the late John Homer and Floia Esthes Butler Bingham. She was united in marriage to Robert Hardin Garrard, who preceded her in death.
Mrs. Garrard retired from Brown Shoe Company. She was a member of Sharon Baptist Church.
She is survived by her children, Billy Garrard of Savannah and Steve Garrard of Birmingham, Ala.; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; a sister, Betty Essary of Gleason and a brother, Wayne Bingham of Collierville.
In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by a sister, Melba Campbell.
Services were held Monday, May 12, in Savannah with Eric Smith officiating. Burial followed at Shady Grove Cemetery in Saltillo.
