Michael Franks, 36, of Savannah, died Sunday, April 20. He was born in Jackson, the son of Freeman Franks and the late Mable Ruth Smith Franks.
He worked for Danny Williams Sawmill.
In addition to his father, he is survived by sisters, Jane Shelby and Virginia Lee Qualls, both of Savannah, and Becky Franks of Wyoming and brothers, Pokey Franks, Tracy Franks and Jon Franks, all of Savannah.
In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by a sister, Carolyn Todd; and grandparents, Bessie Smith, Calvin Lee Smith, Elsie Hill and George Franks.
Services will be held Thursday, April 24, at 3 p.m. at Shackelford Chapel in Savannah. Burial will follow at Old Union Cemetery in Hardin County.
