Barbara Kist (3-24-14) service 3-28-14

Barbara Ann Kist, 82, of Searcy, Ark., died Monday, March 24. She was born in Flint, Mich., the daughter of the late Claude E. and Pearl H. Scruggs Parish. She was united in marriage to Clifford Kist who preceded her in death.

Mrs. Kist was a homemaker and a member of Kensett Church of Christ.

She is survived by five sons, Danny Haddix of Atlanta, Ga., Randy Haddix of Atlanta, Mich., Don Haddix of Pangburn, Ark., Brad Haddix of Searcy, Ark. and Bryan Haddix of Morrice, Mich.; a sister, Joan Summers of Zephyrhills, Fla.; 20 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and her husband she was preceded in death by a stepson, Greg Kist; stepdaughter, Pam Polk; sister, Willadean Hecker; brothers, Donald Parish and Earl Parish; and step grandson, Travis Moore.

 Funeral services were held Friday, March 28, in Searcy, Ark. with Josiah Tilton and Dan Haddix officiating. Interment followed at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens.
