Ed Jones, 50, of Savannah, died Sunday, Feb. 2. He was the son of the late Elbert Dee and Rosa Lee Lipford Jones. He was united in marriage to Gail Stanford, who survives.

Mr. Jones lived in the Leapwood area of Hardin County. He worked for the Danny Williams Sawmill.

In addition to his wife he is survived by two sons, Eddie Joseph Jones of Garvin, Wis., and Kevin Lynn Jones of Savannah; five sisters, Janice Suitor of Savannah, Brenda Holloway of Adamsville, Brandi Burkhead of Olive Hill, Kristen Burkhead of Savannah and Linda Bobbitt of Lexington; three brothers, Randy Jones of Adamsville, Joey Burkhead of Olive Hill and Gerald Jones of Adamsville and two grandchildren.

Services were held Wednesday, Feb. 5, in Savannah. Burial followed at Milledgeville Cemetery in Milledgeville.
