James Redden (1-20-14) service 2-1-14

 

 

 

James “JR” G. Redden, 63, of Michie, died Monday, Jan. 20. He was born in Oceana, W.Va., the son of the late Frank and Deanna Foster Redden. He was united in marriage to Deloris Redden who survives.

He was a member of the Savannah Seventh-day Adventist Church in Savannah.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by three sons, James Redden Jr., Michael Redden and Chuck Harth; two stepsons, Chris and Andy McCarley; five grandchildren; six step-grandchildren; a great-granddaughter; three sisters and four brothers.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Frankie Redden and Johnny Redden and a son, Alan Harth.

Funeral services were held Friday, Jan. 24, at Lebanon Cemetery in Michie with Jack Thacker officiating, and Ronald  “Tubbs” Floyd officiating over burial services.

A memorial service will be held Sunday, Feb. 1, at 4 p.m. at in Michie to celebrate his life. A potluck at his home takes place immediately following the service.
