Florence Newton (1-27-14) service 2-1-14

Florence Newton, 81, of Savannah, died Monday, Jan. 27. She was born in Ashland, Maine, the daughter of the late Frank and Louise McFarland Rushnal.

She had worked at Design Team in Savannah. She was a member of the Oakland Baptist Church in Corinth, Miss.
She is survived by her children, Teresa A. Newton Wilson of Jackson and Terry R. Newton of Savannah; sister, Geraldine Long of Ashland, Maine; brothers, Clifford Rossignal, Ronnie Rushnal, and Warren Rushnal all of Ashland, Maine; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Lynwood Rushnal; sisters, Margaret Rushnal and Dorothy Rushnal and her uncle, Ivan Rushnal.

Services will be held Saturday, Feb. 1, at 1 p.m. at Shackelford Chapel in Savannah.
