Brenda Austin (1-26-14) service 1-29-14

Brenda Kay Austin, of Florence, Ala., was born in Savannah on May 11, 1951, the daughter of the late Eldridge Allen Austin Jr. and Fanny Kate Smith Austin.

She departed this life Sunday, Jan. 26, at the age of 62 years, 8 months and 15 days. Brenda was a physical therapist.

Brenda is survived by a brother, Rodger Austin of Murfreesboro; a sister, Michelle Jones and her husband Lynn of Savannah; three nephews, Landon Austin of Murfreesboro, Matt Austin and his wife Missi of Murfreesboro, and their daughter, Emmalee Kate Austin, Brian Austin and his wife Jenny of Murfreesboro, and their children, Carleigh Austin and Christopher Austin; two nieces, Whitney Jones of Savannah, and her children, Austin Smith, Maddie Smith and Brennen Jones; and  Katelyn Jones of Savannah, and her daughter, Addie Jones.

Services were held Wednesday, Jan. 29, at Shackelford Chapel in Savannah with Don Harold Lawrence officiating. Burial followed at Hollands Creek Cemetery in Hardin County.
