Ann Calvert departed this life on Thursday, Jan. 2, at the age of 86 years, 9 months, 3 days. She was born in Savannah, on March 30, 1927, the daughter of the late Henry and Alma Stricklin. On July 22, 1945, she was united in marriage to Fred Calvert, who survives.

She was a manager of Northbury Colony Apartments in Warren, Ohio for 15 years. She was a member of Freewill Baptist Church in Austintown, Ohio. Ann was one of the most loving and compassionate people you will ever know. She never had an enemy, always looking out for others.

She is survived by her husband of almost 69 years, Fred Calvert of Savannah; a son, Tommie Joe Calvert of Savannah; a daughter, Kathy Moody and husband Bob of Warren, Ohio; grandchildren, Michelle Calvert, Jim Calvert and wife Theresa, Brandon Moody and wife Adela, Ben Moody, Jaime Moody and wife Kris; great-grandchildren, Micheala, Wyatt, Katelyn, Matthew, Axis, Hannah, and Ella.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, James Allen “Jimmy” Calvert; sisters, Jean Morgan and Reba Lenzen and brothers, Ray Stricklin and Johnny Stricklin.

Services were held on Tuesday, Jan. 7, in Savannah with Gerald Davis officiating. Burial followed at Mount Hermon Cemetery in Hardin County.
