Jimmy Ray “Smiley” White, 66, of Savannah, died on Thursday, Nov. 21, in Savannah. He was born in Savannah, the son of the late Oscar and Betty Northcutt White. He was united in marriage to Georgia Carol Bancroft, who survives.

Smiley retired from the Waste Management Department.

There will be a memorial service held at Hardin Home in Savannah on Saturday Nov. 30, at 9:30 a.m.

In addition to his wife, Georgia White, he is survived by his children, Anthony White of Adamsville, Terry Stricklin of Savannah, Jennifer Boylen of Crump, Gary Stricklin of Adamsville, Shane Holden of Fresno, Calif. and Tommy Holden of Fresno, Calif.; grandchildren and great-grandchildren; three sisters, Ruth Lewis of Crump, Mattie Perkins of Adamsville and Tootle White of Water Valley, Miss. and one brother, Jerry White of Savannah.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one son, Donald Glen Holden, one sister, Mamie Qualls and one brother, Junior White.
