Audrey McGarity (11-23-13) service 11-23-13

Audrey Inez Hefner McGarity, 77. of Sardis departed this life on Saturday, Nov. 23. She was born in McNairy County, the daughter of the late James Herbert and Arlene Ruby Pitts Holland. She was united in marriage to Ruel McGarity Jr.

She was also united in marriage to Eldred Allen Hefner. Mrs. McGarity had worked for General Motors. She was a member of Milledgeville United Methodist Church.

Services were held on Tuesday, Nov. 26, at Milledgeville United Methodist Church in Milledgeville. Burial followed at Milledgeville Cemetery in Milledgeville.

She is survived by her daughters, Deborah Ann Freshwater O’Fallen of Missouri, Treasa Ann McGarity of Troy, Ill., and Sherry Lee McGarity of Sardis, Tenn.; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren and a brother, Ronnie Holland of Florence, Ala.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Jack Holland.
