Lonzo McDaniel (11-2-13) service 11-9-13

Lonzo McDaniel, 78, of Savannah, died on Saturday, Nov. 2, at Hardin Medical Center in Savannah. He was born in Savannah, the son of Coleman McDaniel, Sr. and Mary Dixon McDaniel, who preceded him in death.

Mr. McDaniel retired from General Motors Company, where he was employed as a production worker.

Services were held on Saturday, Nov. 9, at Shackelford Chapel in Savannah with Prentis Burdine officiating. Burial followed at Memory Gardens in Savannah.

He is survived by a son, Yvon Ross of Indianapolis, Ind.; siblings, Elige McDaniel of Nashville, Tenn., Jeanette Stephens of  Savannah, John R. McDaniel of Flint, Mich. and Don McDaniel of Paris, Tenn.; one grandchild and two greatgrandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Coleman McDaniel Jr. and a sister, Mary Myrtle Cherry.
