Cherry Pipes (11-9-13) service 11-13-13

 

 

 

Cherry Louise Hurst Pipes, 89, of Olive Hill, died on Saturday, Nov. 9, at Hardin Medical Center in Savannah. She was born in Hardin County, the daughter of the late Cherry Lefler and Mary Godwin Hurst. She was united in marriage to Tom Clarence Pipes, who preceded her in death .

Mrs. Pipes was a homemaker.

Services were held on Wednesday, Nov. 13, at Shackelford Chapel in Savannah with Duwayne Pounds officiating. Burial followed at Mountain View Cemetery in Hardin County.

She is survived by 11 grandchildren; 10 greatgrandchildren; two greatgreat- grandchildren and two step great-great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband and her parents, she was preceded in death by three children, Clarence Wayne Pipes, Brenda Gail Stricklin and Bonnie Lou Vickery; and three siblings, Sterling Hurst, Marcella Neill and Florene Hurst.
