Barbara Keene (11-8-13) service 11-11-13

Barbara “Barbie” Keene, 75, of Savannah, died on Friday, Nov. 8, at Hardin Medical Center in Savannah. She was born in Pittsfield, Ill., the daughter of late Obie Leon and Rea Louise Harlow. She was united in marriage to Earl Keene, who survives.

Mrs. Keene was a certified nurse assistant and was employed by Decatur Memorial Hospital in Decatur, Ill. She was a member of Northside Baptist Church in Savannah.

Services were held on Monday, Nov. 11, at Shackelford Chapel in Savannah with Jason Martindale officiating. Burial followed at New Harmony Baptist Church Cemetery in Savannah.

In addition to her husband, Earl, she is survived by two sisters, Betty Tanner of Russellville, Ky. and Susan Kaye Harlow of San  Francisco, Calif.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Obie Leon Harlow Jr., Danny Joe Harlow and Mike Harlow.
