Jimmy Wood, 74, died on Friday, Oct. 18, at Savannah Health Care and Rehabilitation Center. He was born in Hardin County, the son of the late James Cecil and Rebbie Curtis Wood. He was united in marriage to Pauline Johnson, who survives.

Mr. Wood was a self-employed construction worker and was a member of Center Hill Baptist Church.

Services were held on Monday, Oct. 21, at Shackelford Chapel in Savannah with Frank Williams officiating. Burial followed at Oak Hill Cemetery in Corinth, Miss.

In addition to his wife, Pauline Wood of Michie, he is survived by three children, Randy Gene Wood, Tammy Wood and Barbara  Norris all of Michie; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and two sisters, Carolyn Hill of Stantonville and Cathy Murphy of Corinth, Miss.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sons, Paul Aaron Wood and Timothy Wayne Wood; one grandchild, Jennifer Wood; and three sisters, Charlene Blakney, Ama Lois Lomeick and Joyce Turner.
