Jimmy “Snake” Fox, 60, of Savannah, died on Saturday, Oct. 26, in Memphis. He was born in Hardin County, the son of the late Cecil and Lou Jean Higgins Fox. He was united in marriage to Rebecca Jo Wright, who preceded him in death.
Services were held on Tuesday, Oct. 29, at Shackelford Chapel in Savannah,with David Dowdy officiating. Burial followed at Hollands Creek Cemetery in Hardin County.
Jimmy worked as a logger for Roach Sawmill. Jimmy is survived by his son, Jeremy Fox of Savannah; two grandchildren; one brother, Ricky Fox of Savannah; four sisters, Joyce Scott, Jackie Davidson and Jane Jones, all of Savannah and Judy Balentine
of Cypress Inn, Tenn.
In addition to his parents and his wife, Jimmy was also preceded in death by one sister, Joan Boatwright and three brothers, Hassell, Rayburn and Joey Fox.
